President Muhammadu Buhari met with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in Abuja on Wednesday, April 27 following the attack in Uzo-Uwani local government area by Fulani herdsmen in Enugu state.
The attack occurred on Monday, April 26 in Uzo-Uwani council and it was reported that some people died more were displaced as they fled to neighboring communities of Nkpologu and Uvuru, even as Nkpologu natives fled to Nsukka in fear of attacks.
President Buhari said: “I have directed the Chief of Defence Staff and the Inspector-General of Police to secure all communities under attacks by herdsmen, and to go after all the groups terrorizing innocent people all over the country. This government will not allow these attacks to continue.
