Good day Laila. My name is Paul, I'm mailing you from Lagos. I have been in Lagos for a while now and I know there are fraudsters everywhere and those who are out to reap where they did not sow! Please share with the public.
I have read and heard of stories of those who were duped and stripped of their hard earn money, even though it hasn't happened to me before but am here to share what happened to me on the 19th of April.
On Monday the 19th of April, around the hours of 09:38am, I was in the house receiving call from a friend. While I was on call, text messages came into my phone. I didn't know what to make out of the text, normally there are some annoying text messages ranging from caller tune subscription and many uninteresting and interesting alerts from various vendors marketing there products, I didn't bother checking it(the messages), and because most times when you are done making call, you get an alert telling you how much time you spent on the call, the cost and balance left.
However, after I terminated the call, I went out to buy recharge card. While the woman was getting the card, i then decided to have a look at the message(s) that came in. But to my greatest surprise, it was an alert from my my bank. Someone had withdrawn #200,000 within 5 minutes. I rushed back into the house to check for my ATM, unfortunately it was nowhere to be found. I immediately put a call through to GTconnect and told them what happened and instructed them to block the card.
I went to Gtbank near my house and told them what happened. I also request to obtain the camera footage of who had withdrawn such am amount from an ATM that is not his/hers.
Again, for clarification purpose, I am the only one who knows my PIN, and don't remember sending anyone to the ATM or disclosing my PIN to anyone.
It remained a surreal to me as to how someone hacked my account to the point of withdrawing with my PIN.
The bank has given me 45 to 90 days to make available the photo footage of the person who withdrew my money; when asked to find out why it's taking that long, the lady said it because the ATM was used in another bank which involves a procedure.
I shall include in this post the screen shot of the alert. When I finally obtained the photo footage I shall update you so the perpetrator can shown to the public.
Note: I use GTbank Platinum Mastercard, which means i can withdraw up to #200,000 in a day.
Thank You
