A high-achieving graduate has lifted the lid on why she turned her back on a promising career to pursue her dream of becoming a PORN mega-star.
The 26-year-old woman, Alix Lynx says she first realised she wanted to be a porn actress after watching a documentary about the industry. She says porn is something she had always wanted to do since she was a teenager.
Alix worked hard to earn a degree in communications and then an MBA in digital marketing, and was rewarded with a string of office jobs.
But the corporate world just wouldn't do for this 25 year old blonde, and after a stint doing webcam shows, she decided to carve out a career in porn.
And she reckons changing career is the best decision she's ever made.
Alix's dad works in construction and her mum has a PhD, and she credits them with giving her a "really good upbringing".
An MBA in digital marketing followed and she began carving out a career in public relations, working her way up to account executive in just six months.
But when her employers lost a few clients, she found herself laid off, and after a brief stint working in social media, she changed tack completely.
When a male friend told her he couldn't stop watching webcam shows behind his girlfriend's back, she says a "light bulb went off" in her head.
She set herself up as a webcam girl and quickly learned the trade.
Alix told Cosmopolitan.com: "I had no idea what to expect. When you're a new girl, you're labelled in bright yellow.
"Members love new girls because they're "fresh meat," so they flocked to me when I logged on."
Eventually, she quit her job, which gave her a "crazy feeling of ecstasy".
And at the age of 25, after a year of working as a full-time webcam girl, she flew out to California to pursue a career in porn.
She kept her kinky job hidden from her family until August when her Facebook friends shared a viral video of her simulating oral sex with a lollipop.
While she admits her family doesn't approve of her job, she insists they are "actually very supportive" of her choices.
Now, Alix says she wants to reach the top of the porn world.
She added: "I look around at people in my circle and see that deep down, they have a dream but won't do it because of the stigma.
"They'd rather stay in the bubble working for the man."
