Angry Blog Reader Slams PHCN for Defrauding Her

Please kindly use your platform to call attention to the cheating and massive exploitation of the Portharcourt Electricity Distribution company (PHED). They came up with the antics of not using meter reading to bill customers rather every month, they send an estimate that is way higher than the consumption. When you complain, they ask you to pay and promise to rectify it the next month but they just keep bringing over estimated bills month after month. One can use a total of less than 200units only for them to bring an estimated bill of over 1,000 units. Meters are there to ensure that people pay the right bill for their power consumption but in their case, they are just making paying customers pay several times over what they should. They have online and other channels for complaints but when you complain they promise to look into it but that's where it ends.
